"L.L.", as he was fondly called, was an avid reader who loved antiques, architecture, art, beautiful china, silver and crystal.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents and beloved cousin, Vivian Scott Steinmann. He is survived by his brothers, Edwin N. Kittrell III and wife Phyllis, and Scott Rush Kittrell and wife Lucinda. Also surviving him are nieces, Taylor and Cory Payne of Austin; Luci and Jason Deere; nephew, Paul Scott Kittrell; cousins, Sue and Jim Deakins of Tyler and Lander Wendland of Houston.
