Obituary

A funeral service for Roy Jimerson age 80, of Mixon, is scheduled at 10 o'clock in the morning Monday, February 4, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Mixon. Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Goforth and Kent Lindsey will officiate. Roy will be laid to rest at Mixon Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

Mr. Jimerson passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 in Tyler.

Roy was born November 4, 1938 in New Salem Texas to Irby Roy and Ida Modene Ellis Jimerson. Roy was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mixon. He was a draftsman at Astro Air. He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of the Jacksonville Masonic Lodge # 108 AF & AM, and the Troup Masonic Lodge # 272 AF & AM. Roy was a Shriner and a member of the York Rite. Roy was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Fraternity.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister; Rebecca Williams, and step Father Ardis Jackson Bowman.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 60 yrs., Beverly Jimerson; Mixon, daughter; Lissa Lindsey and husband Kent, Troup, sisters; Jeanette Hutson, Phoenix Az., Lola Mae Harris and husband Floyd, Tyler, sister in-law Sue Oden and husband Richard, Jacksonville. He is also survived by grandchildren; Ty and wife Kathleen, Curt and wife Cheyenne and Kristin and husband Kaleb. Great Grandchildren; Cadence, Cooper Dean, Emersyn and Jack Clyde, and several nieces and nephews.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Stacy Oden, Scott Oden, Scott Arnold, Bo Steele, Chance Steele and Kevin Ivy.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, February 3, 2019 and friends are cordially invited to visit with Roy's family from 4 to 6 o'clock in the afternoon at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
