A visitation to celebrate the life of Patsy (Minter) Garrett, age 71, of Chapel Hill, is scheduled for Sunday, April 8, 2018, 6:00-7:30pm at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler, Texas.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 9, 2018, 1:30pm at Resthaven Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas.

Mrs. (Minter) Garrett passed away April 6, 2018 in Tyler. She was born on September 18, 1946 in Grapeland, Texas to Benjamin and Mildred Franklin. Patsy was a loving mother, a dear friend to many, and worked 27 years for Southside Bank.

Mrs. (Minter) Garrett was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Mildred Franklin, husband Herbert (Shub) Minter, and sister Bennie Sue Franklin.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Fred Garrett of Chapel Hill, son Larry Minter and wife Renee of Big Sandy, step-daughter Heather Smith of Tyler, sister Carroll Brooks and husband Pat of Lewisville, sister Wynell Grant and husband Bill of Elkhart, brother Sam Franklin and wife Mary of Allen.

Patsy is also survived by her grandchildren: Carson Minter, Caden Minter, Calle Minter, Canyon Minter, Jeremy Smith, Abigail Duncan, Zachary Smith, and Parker Smith. Nieces, Whitney and Jamie Brooks, nephews: Mark Franklin, Chris Franklin, Keith Grant, Kevin Grant, and Brian Brooks.

Rather than customary condolences, donations may be made in Patsy's honor to Hospice of East Texas.
