Memorial services for Mrs. Mildred L. Hackett Rainey, 95, Berkley, California, formerly of Tyler, are scheduled for 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at Community Funeral Home of Tyler Chapel with the Dr. M.K. Mast, eulogist officiating.

Mrs. Rainey died Dec. 8, 2014, at The Hospice of East Texas.

She was born June 3, 1919, in Winona and had resided the last 75 years in Berkeley, California. She attended Winona Industrial High School and Texas College. She was a member of Beth Eden Baptist Church, Oakland, California, and Greater St. Mary Baptist Church, Tyler. Mrs. Rainey retired as a school teacher and secretary in the military.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leova Rainey; sister, Virgie Hackett Johnson; and brother, Joe Hackett.

Survivors include nieces, Brenda (James) Beedles, Tyler, Janice M. (Sammie) Lindsey, Chandler; and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
