Mary Elizabeth Wilson, 87, of Tyler, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at her home. She was born November 21, 1930 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to the late Russell Errett and Melissa Elizabeth Griffin Stout.

Mary married her husband, Leroy, of 68 years in a private elopement- they both always had a sense of adventure! After her Husband retired, they settled in Tyler in 1990. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and visit with her family. Building strong relationships with her children and grandchildren was always her main focus and priority. She will be remembered as a kind, loving person who truly acted as the hands and feet of Jesus. Her positive outlook on life can be contributed to her deeply rooted faith. She was the youngest of 12 children and was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy George Wilson. She is survived by her loving children, David Wilson and wife, Sharla, of Tyler and Janet Huffine of Tyler; a brother, James Stout of Lee's Summit, MO; six Grandchildren, John, Mindy, Matt, Katie, Ben, and Sarah and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Bascom Cemetery with Dr. David O. Dykes officiating, under direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the graveside one hour prior to service (12 p.m.- 1 p.m.).

Honorary pallbearers will be John Huffine, Matthew Huffine, Benjamin Huffine and Kole Huffine. Memorials may be made to The Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd. Tyler, TX 75701. To view online, please go to
