Funeral services for Louise N. Smith, 90, of Tyler will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Trammel officiating and interment to follow in Concord Cemetery in Henderson County near Chandler. Mrs. Smith passed away Monday, March 12, 2018.

Louise was born on April 7, 1927 in Midway, Texas to the late Joseph Allen and Eardeal Beasley Reeves. She had 13 siblings.

In 1943 She married Talmage Smith. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage before his death in 2009 and together they had six children. She was a homemaker and cherished her time with her children and later her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her home was always open and welcoming and there was always games to be played. She was a favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews and a second mother to all her grandchildren.

Louise always had a kind word to say about everyone. She loved feeding and watching humming birds, tending to her azalea bushes, playing games and any kind of slot machine.

Louise is survived by her sons: David Smith and Johnny Smith both of Tyler; daughters, Glenda Teague of Tyler and Patricia Greer and husband, Carl of Flint; five sisters and eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, and two great, great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sons, Joel and Ray.
