Obituary

Keith William Harvey, 66, passed away on January 14, 2019 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Keith was born on July 24, 1952 in Tyler, Texas.

Keith graduated from the University of Houston in 1982 with a Doctor of Jurisprudence; held both Master and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Stephen F. Austin University; a Graduate Fellow of the University of Chicago and was a 1970 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas.

Keith lived in Dallas Texas where he was an attorney and writer who spent his free time reading political philosophy, science fiction and poetry. Keith was the author of four novels. In 2009, his portal fantasy novel, "Okeanus," was a semi-finalist in the Amazon/Penguin Breakthrough novel contest. In 2014, Kirkus named Keith's book, "Grimoire of Stone", one of the best independent novels of the year.

Keith is survived by his wife of 42 years, Paula; parents, Gene and Alene Harvey of Tyler, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, David and Tricia Harvey of Tyler as well as one beloved nephew, Benjamin Harvey also of Tyler.
