The visitation for Kandi Adams will be held at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30. Moreover, the service will be held at Landmark Baptist Church at 1 o'clock on Saturday, April 14, 2018, followed with burial at Williams Cemetery.

Kandi is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Melvin and Bertie Steel as well as maternal grandfather Rev. Melvin Peters. In addition, she is survived by her husband Terrence Heath Adams; children James, Katherine, and Frances Adams; Parents Junior and Rose Mary Steel; brother Landie Steel; mother-in-law Cherry Arcega; bother-in-law Aaron Arcega, wife Tiffany Arcega, and their children Arianna and Ashton; grandmother Pauline Peters; and her children's Godparents Mike and Kris Ross .

Kandi Neauwessa Adams was born on December 7, 1976 on the Yavapai Indian Tribe Reservation in Prescott, Arizona. There, Kandi was given the middle name Neauwessa, as it translates to "ray of sunshine" in the Yavapai language.

Growing up, Kandi participated in multiple sports and activities including Golden Girls Dance and the Chapel Hill Highlighters. She also was an X Ray and CT tech for 21 years. Later in life, she was active in her children's activities, including, jump rope, twirling, band, and choir. Furthermore, she especially took delight in supporting her son and his team members on the Chapel Hill baseball team.

Kandi's pallbearers will be Michael Cooper Daniels III, Colton Beaudet, Ty Keys, Dakota Matthews, Austin Savering, Cade Williams with honorary pallbearers Mike Daniels Jr., Chris Williams, Butch Peters, Buddy Peters, and the Varsity Chapel Hill baseball team.

Kandi Adams' family would like to send a special thanks to ETMC 6 North doctors and nurses, Heart to Heart Hospice, "for Kandi We Play" organizers Mike Daniels, Jr., Chris Williams, Chris and Holley Breckel, Tim Bentley, Ashley Hayden Layne, and everyone who volunteered their time and resourses.
