LUFKIN - Services for Jerry Dean Beasley, 64, Lufkin, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Gipson-Metcalf Funeral Home chapel, Lufkin, with the Revs. Lamar Denby and Elton Musick officiating.

Burial will be in Huntington Cemetery.

Mr. Beasley died Nov. 29, 2006, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 5, 1941, in Ponte to the late Roy and Ruby Wallis Beasley. He lived in Lufkin most of his life and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Angelina College after more than 25 years service as a security guard. He was a member of Highway Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Jan Beasley, Lufkin; brothers, Melvin Lavender, Doug Reed and Larry Johnson; sisters, Faye Christie, Bettie Quinn, Nancy Horbison and Janie Marshall; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers are John Lewis, Billy Phillips, Lynn Denman, Delton Smith, Mike Golden and Ty Willis.

Honorary pallbearers are Keith Mixon, Therman McCarty and Ray Smith.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
