Funeral services for the Rev. Antonio L. Christian, 56, Tyler, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at North Star Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles E. Faulks Sr. officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler.
Rev. Christian died Feb. 14, 2014, at M.D. Anderson Hospital.
He was born Aug. 7, 1957, in Anchorage, Alaska, and had resided in Tyler for eight years. He was a graduate of Sam Houston High School in San Antonio. He was a member of North Star Missionary Baptist Church, serving as youth minister and singing in the male chorus. He was director for the Highway 80 Rescue Mission.
He was preceded in death by his father, Spc. Randall D. Christian Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Kismet Christian, Tyler; mother, Lillian L. Prothro, San Antonio; sons, Antonio D. Christian Jr., Austin, Kendrek Washington, Dallas; daughters, Shaniel Archie, Houston, Tarnisha Cooper, Waco; two brothers; six sisters; mother-in-law, Cynthia Stephenson; and 10 grandchildren.
Public viewing only from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. No public viewing at the funeral service. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at 1413 Crescent Drive, Tyler.
