Services for Robert Scott Palmer, 52, Tyler, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Lloyd James Funeral Home chapel, Tyler, with the Rev. Dr. Michael M. Massar, Monsignor Joseph Strickland and Tom Woldert officiating.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Palmer died June 7, 2006.
He was born Aug. 19, 1953, in Tyler to Norval F. and Alma Cagle Palmer. He attended Birdwell Elementary, Hogg Junior High and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1972. He attended The University of Texas at Austin and worked in the banking business in Austin. He also managed a restaurant in Houston before returning to Tyler, where he was owner/manager of Cox's Grill. In 1980, he became a funeral director at Lloyd James Funeral Home and became co-manager of the funeral home. He lived in Tyler most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alma Palmer in 2002, and an infant brother, David Palmer.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Chitwood Palmer, Tyler; father, Norval Palmer, Garland; sister, Martha Palmer, Garland; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Tom Woldert, Thomas Woldert, James Woldert, Joel Hutson, Curtis Ohlendorf, Ross Ohlendorf, Chad Ohlendorf, Tony Wilson, Gerald Saleh, William Hardy, Sam Wolf, Garland Davis, John Lovell and Mike Satterwhite.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Friday at the residence of Tom and Amy Woldert, 3511 Matt Lane, Tyler.
