Funeral services for Mr. Robert Barker, 74, Tyler, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gentry Temple Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Lonnie Ross officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, LaRue, under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.
Mr. Barker died Feb. 2, 2014, at Mother Frances Hospital.
He was born April 17, 1939, in Henderson County and was a graduate of Fisher High School, Athens. He was a 50-year resident of Smith County, retired from Tyler Pipe Industries, and served in the U.S. Marines.
His parents and eight siblings preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Lorene Barker, Tyler; two sons, Jason Barker, Arkansas and Christopher Barker (Mary), Florida; two daughters, Cynthia Barker, Wylie and Twonia Barker, The Colony; three brothers, Eugene Barker, Jimmy Barker, William Barker, all of Athens; three sisters, Lavoncia Ellington, New Jersey, Betty Gooden, Athens, Mildred Wesley, Fort Worth; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
