Memorial services for Pauline Lucas, 89, Tyler, will be announced at a later date.
Mrs. Lucas passed away on Dec. 17, 2013, in Tyler.
She was born Dec. 13, 1924, in Nacogdoches, to the late Jesse Arvey Kirkley and Ruby Bailey Kirkley. She had lived in Tyler for seven years, moving from Lufkin. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and cooking.
She was preceded in death by sons, James E. Lucas and Carroll D. Lucas; and husband, Wilbern M. Lucas.
Survivors include daughter, Dian Lucas Smith, of Kountze; daughter-in-law, Marsha Hargis Lucas, of Tyler; brothers, Sonny Kirkley, of Murfreesboro, Ark., and Chester Kirkley, of Center; sister, Iva Louise Shaw, of Dayton; nine grandchildren, Darrell Yates III, Caleb Yates, Lucas Gonzales, Stephanie Lucas, Mike Lucas, Cindy Tuell, Michelle Perez, Tina Chuajai and Rebecca Vigil.
