Services for Michael Ray Norris, 64, of Bullard will be on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Barron officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Bullard Cemetery in Bul-lard under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Norris passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, in Tyler.
He was born Dec. 1, 1949, in Duncan, Okla., to Zaccheus and Thelma Jo Hooper Norris. He graduated from Arlington High School.
Michael served four years in the Air Force in the Vietnam era. He was a DPS officer and worked in law enforcement for 16 years. Michael worked at Brookshire's warehouse in security for the past 15 years.
Mr. Norris was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife and best friend of 29 years, Goldie Norris, of Bullard; children, Brian Norris and wife Jennifer, of Charleston, S.C., Neil Norris and wife Christine, of Mansfield, Mechele Morris and husband James, of Bullard, and Kim McGee and husband Bill, also of Bullard; five grandchildren; and his siblings, Steve Norris and wife Re'nee, of Leesville, La., and Mary Carroll and husband Jerry, of Grandview.
Honorary pallbearers will be all friends and co-workers of Brookshire Grocery Co. and the DPS.
