Funeral services for Bertram Lobbeus Amie, 46, of Irving, formerly of Tyler, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Green Acres Baptist Church with Elder Kenneth Madlock officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler.
Mr. Amie died Aug. 23, 2013, at Baylor of Irving.
He was born Oct. 14, 1966, in Tyler and had resided in Tyler and Irving. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and DeVry Institute of Technology. He was a member of Sharon Seventh-day Adventist, a retired driver for FedEx and had served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Anner Lee Amie; sister, Martha Marie Amie; and brother, Aaron Amie.
Survivors include his wife, Sheretta L. Amie, Irving; father, Odis Amie, Tyler; sons, Bertram L. Amie Jr., and Travion Desdunes, both of Tyler; daughters, Tinishia Amie, Ashley Amie-Hallman and Alexia Amie-McGee, all of Tyler; stepsons, Quentin Crittenden and Charles Crittenden Jr., both of Texarkana, Ark.; brothers, Odis Amie Jr., Percy Wyndom, both of Fort Worth; Johnnie L. Amie and Pascal Wyndom, both of Tyler; and Bendrell Amie, Manassas Park, Va.; sisters, Marlyn Amie, Cheryl Chandler, La Debra Amie, Charlotte Green, Lynetter Fleming and Lavena Smith, all of Tyler; and nine grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home
