Services for Michael James Hodges, 46, of Tyler will be on Friday, May 3, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Samuel Priddy and the Rev. Brian Tema officiating.
Burial will follow in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery in Tyler under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Hodges passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at The Hospice of East Texas.
He was born March 10, 1967, in Tyler to James Donald and Kay McFaul Hodges.
Michael attended Ramey Elementary School, Boulter Middle School and graduated from John Tyler High School in 1985.
He held the position of lead man over drilling and grinding at Vesuvius USA for more than 10 years. Michael was a music enthusiast and knew everything about music. He loved fishing and enjoyed spending time with his many friends. Michael especially loved his son, stepdaughters, nieces, nephews and family. He was a member of the Local Union No. 58.
Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his loving family including his son, Brandon Chase Hodges, of Nacogdoches; fiancée, Kimberly Pittman, of Tyler; mother, Kay Hodges, of Bullard; siblings, Keith Hodges, of Bullard and Channey Manteufel and husband Dan, of Tyler; three aunts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Royce, Michael Royce, Walter Lee Gilmore, Scott Fitts, Randy Speaks and Tony Ward.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Ford and Cliff Tillison.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
