Graveside services for Shirley L. Burnop , age 90, of Tyler, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, at the Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. James Cheatham officiating.
Mrs. Burnop was born May 16, 1922, in Dewitt. Ark., to Christian and Meta Dupslaff Luebke and passed away Feb. 7, 2013, in Tyler. Mrs. Burnop was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church, went to Tyler Commercial College, was a homemaker and lived in Tyler most of her life.
Survivors include children, Wayne Burnop and wife Nancy, of Round Rock, Jimmy Burnop and wife Kathleen, of Georgetown, Tommy Burnop and wife Sandra, of Tyler; daughter, Sharon Gilchrist and husband Don of Ben Wheeler; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 62 years, Robert M Burnop.
Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, 75701.
