Funeral services for Robert Gilstrap, age 65, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Jacksonville with Bro. Donny Sadler officiating under direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Burial will be held at Earle's Chapel Cemetery, Jacksonville.
Mr. Gilstrap passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, in Jacksonville.
He was born July 14, 1947, in Wichita, Kan.
Mr. Gilstrap was a truck driver for Central Freight Lines for 35 years, served as a peace officer and in the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Grace Gilstrap, and a brother, Tom Gilstrap.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gilstrap, of Jacksonville; sons, Terry Gilstrap and wife Sharon, of Jacksonville, John Burns and wife Katrina, of Rusk, and Scott Burns, of Palestine; daughters, Tressa Goodman and husband Billy, of Jacksonville, Tracie Cusano and husband Tony, of Canton, and Stacy Pollard and husband Jason, of Jacksonville; 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
