TROUP - Services for Bonnie Hemby Sanders, 77, of Troup, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the First Baptist Church, Mixon, with the Rev. Bennie Portwood officiating. Burial will be in the Mixon Cemetery under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
Mrs. Sanders passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012, at her residence in Troup. She was born Dec. 23, 1934, in the Mixon community to the late M.M. "Bully" and Edna Eidson Hemby. She attended Troup High School and was a lifetime resident of Troup.
Mrs. Sanders was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mixon. She worked at Blu-Flame Gas Company in Troup for 28 years before serving as Troup city secretary for a short time. Mrs. Sanders also worked at Troup Bank and Trust and Powell Plant Farm. For many years, Mrs. Sanders did taxes and later opened Bonnie's Tax Service in Troup. She later retired and took great joy in her many trips with Central Baptist Church of Jacksonville and her longtime friend, Ruth Cole.
In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Merrill Sanders.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Merrill Wayne and Janice Sanders, of Troup; three sisters and two brothers in law, Tutt Dowdy, of Whitehouse, Rachael and Jack Smylie, of Brownwood, and Carolyn and Larry Higgins, of Troup; a granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Misty and Rodney Kelley, of Cedar Park; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Kelley, of Cedar Park.
Pallbearers will be Roland Turner, Doug Steele, Andy Tarver, David Agnew, Alex Turner and Clint Skillern.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012.
