Cremation services for Wayne Harold Hensley, 72, of Overton are scheduled for July 19-22, in Houston. Arrangements are with Burrows Funeral Home, Overton.
He died at 7:40 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012, at his residence in Overton after a lengthy illness. Mr. Hensley was born Jan. 26, 1940, in Mt. Pilliar, Vt., to Cecil C. Hensley and Norma E. Roberts Hensley. After living in Houston for several years, he moved to Overton last year. He was a veteran, having served in the Air Force. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.

He is survived by his companion, Helen Hensley, Overton; a son, Wayne Harold Hensley Jr. and wife Misty Hensley, Corbin, Ky.; three daughters, Victoria and Matt Oswalt, Big Sandy, Triniti Hensley and fiancé Zane Poteet and Liberti and Lee Smith, all of Overton; a brother, Gerald Hensley, Riverside, Calif.; sister, Delia McNair, Canton, N.C.; and several grandchildren.
Mr. Hensley was preceded in death by his father, Cecil C. Hensley; mother, Norma E. Roberts Hensley; and brothers, James A. Hensley and David Hensley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Hensley Jr., Wayne Hensley, Trey, James Roby, Terry Lee Hensley, Zane Poteet, Matt Oswalt and Lee Smith.
