Robert "Bobby" Rogers, 78, was born on Sept. 15, 1933, in Alabama. He passed away on Jan. 20, 2012, in Tyler after a short illness. Bobby was proud to be a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and an active member of the Masons. He worked at Western Foundry and then retired from Kelly-Springfield Tire Co. after 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Rogers of Tyler; sister, Myrtle "Pat" Rosprin of Palestine; his children, Robert Rogers, Ron Rogers of Bullard, Jill Klemp of Chandler, Karena Wallace of Tyler and Andrew Buckholtz of Whitehouse; grandchildren, Brandon Rogers, Veronica Rogers, Jenny Irwin, Chase Wallace, Megan Wallace, Baylie Buckholtz, and Anden Buckholtz; niece, DeJuan Golman; many great-grandchildren and close family friend, Rhonda Young. He was well loved and will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
Memorial services for Robert "Bobby" Rogers will be held at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at 4 p.m.
