James Lucas


Memorial services for James Lucas are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at Green Acres Baptist Church Chapel, Tyler.

Mr. Lucas passed away at the age of 66 on Jan. 10, 2012, in Tyler.

James Edward Lucas was born May 24, 1945, in Beaumont and grew up and graduated from high school in Nederland. He had been a resident of Tyler since 1992, formerly living in San Antonio. He worked for United Country Bobo Realty and Pro Forms Solutions, and was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wilburn McFay Lucas, and his brother, Carroll Dean Lucas.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Lucas of Tyler; two children, Stephanie Ann Lucas of San Antonio and Michael Stewart Lucas of Tyler; mother, Pauline Kirkley Lucas of Tyler; sister, Dian Lucas Smith of Kountze; and one granddaughter, Sydney Elizabeth Hall of Arp.
