John Perry Redman Jr.


Memorial services for John Perry Redman Jr., 76, of Tyler are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday Nov. 5, 2011, at Lloyd James Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Chuck Ward officiating.

Burial is in Rose Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.

Mr. Redman passed away Nov. 2, 2011, in Tyler.

He was born Jan. 20, 1935, in Marshall, Ark., to the late John Perry Redman Sr. and Leona Keeling. He served in the U.S. Navy for 34 years, advancing to the rank of master chief. He was a member of Friendly Baptist Church, member of Scottish Right of Houston, Master Mason in good standing, past Master of Beeville Lodge No. 261 and a member in good standing Al Amin Shriners Corpus Christi No. 361. He had abundant love for his family.

The family will receive visitors from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lloyd James Chapel.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Sam Fields.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Redman of Tyler; daughter, Pamela Fields of Tyler; son, John Redman and wife Elizabeth of San Diego, Calif.; brother, Wilber Joe Redman of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and grandchildren, Samantha Fields, Sabrina Fields and Katherine and Erin Redman.
