Funeral services for Marjorie Louise Chambless, 101, Chandler, are set for 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Milton Pledger will be officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Chambless passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, in Chandler. She was born March 14, 1910, in Tyler to the late Joe and Bessie Shamburger. She married Paul Franklin Chambless, Nov. 21, 1926. After 74 years of marriage she lost her husband on Christmas night in 1998. She was a homemaker, loving wife and mother.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie June Chambless; a son, John L. Chambless; and a grandson, Johnny Paul Chambless.
Survivors include son and wife, Joe and Elane Chambless of Kemp, son and wife, Benjamin and Cynthia Chambless of Dallas; daughter and husband, Neta and Connie Jett of Chandler; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ben Chambless, Connie Jett, Joe Chambless, Joe M. Chambless, Russell Chambless and Nicholas Chambless.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
