Ethel Mae Wilson


Services for Mrs. Ethel Mae Wilson, 82, Tyler, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2011, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. James. E. Curtis officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler.

Mrs. Wilson died Feb. 28, 2011, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 26, 1928, in Tyler and was a lifelong resident. She attended Jackson High School, was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, where she served as chairperson of the building fund, and deaconess president for a number of years. She retired from the production and finishing department at Tyler Pipe Industries. She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; two sons; one sister; and one granddaughter.

Survivors include her son, Daniel W. Morgan Jr., Tyler; daughter, Frankie (Mervia) Dotson, Tyler; nephews, Felton Wiggins and Leonard Charles Brown; sister, Gladys Ford Gowan, Tyler; two grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Morgan III, Jared Morgan, Milton Adams, Derrick Adams, Jordan Morgan and Deric Morgan.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at 2421 N. Palace Ave. Viewing will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
