Services for Loree Plocher Dacus, 85, Quitman, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011, at Myrtle Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Morrow officiating.
Burial will be in Myrtle Springs Cemetery, Wood County, under direction of Lowe Funeral Home, Quitman.
Mrs. Dacus died March 1, 2011, in Allen. She was born July 24, 1925, in French Camp, Miss., and lived all of her adult life in Quitman. She was a homemaker, a member of Myrtle Springs Baptist Church of Quitman, a former member of Eastern Star in Quitman, and past president of Wood County Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Marshall Lee Plocher and Joe Dacus.
Survivors include sons, Tony Plocher, Doy Plocher, both of Quitman, James Dacus and Ricky Dacus, both of Hawkins; daughters, Nancy Hamilton, Allen, and Sarah Grewell, Tyler; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Brad Hamilton, Josh Plocher, Kyle Hayes, Rick Dacus, Matthew Dacus and Ethan Smith.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at the funeral home
