Polly Peel Plummer Whillock


Graveside services for Mrs. Polly Peel Plummer Whillock, age 100, of Hideaway are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot, Ark., under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale. Mrs. Whillock died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, in Mineola.

She was born on Sept. 8, 1910, in Clinton, Ark., the daughter of Clarence and Bessie Jane (Thompson) Peel. Mrs. Whillock worked as an LVN for 10 years for the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock and was a member of the Hideaway Lake Community Church, Variety Club and the Women's Golf Association. She loved the outdoors, gardening and playing golf, and was preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil Plummer and George Whillock.

Mrs. Whillock is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cecile and Dr. Pat McGonagill of Hideaway; grandchildren, Jimmy McGonagill of Tyler, Mike McGonagill of Hideaway, and Kelli Finglass and husband Joel of Coppell; and great-grandchildren, Samantha and Ryan Finglass, both of Coppell.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
