Services for Luther "Howard" Williamson, 77, of Tyler will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 13108 Texas Highway 64 East, in Tyler with the Rev. Mike Ford officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church.
The Guest Book is expired.
Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery in Tyler under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mr. Williamson passed away peacefully Saturday, March 29, 2014, at his home in Tyler.
He was born Oct. 9, 1936, in Osyka, Miss., to Luther and Marie Tate Williamson.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by a younger brother, Charles, who died in infancy.
He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 56 years, Sheila Williamson, of Tyler; daughters, Debra Burns and husband Frank, of McKinney, Dana Simón and husband Jim, of Angleton, Denise Macaulay and husband Bill, of McKinney; oldest grandson, Devin Burns and wife Rebecca, of Allen; nine younger grandsons, Brendan, Sean, William and Quentin Burns, of McKinney, Elijah and Jeremy Simón, of Angleton, and Alex, Jake and Sam Macaulay, of McKinney; brother, Walter Williamson and wife Ginger, of Baton Rouge, La., and Gerald Williamson, of New Orleans, La.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
