Graveside services for Willie Cheatham Rooks, age 94, of Brownsboro, will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Whitehouse Cemetery with the Rev. Danny Bristow officiating under direction of the Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors, Tyler. Ms. Rooks died June 4, 2006, in a Tyler hospital.

She was born Oct. 12, 1911, in Hill County, Texas, to the late W.H. and Eunice Carpenter. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. Ms. Rooks was preceded in death by husband, Frank Cheatham; daughter, Joy Burnett; grandson, Michael Cheatham; daughter-in-law, Sara Cheatham.
She is survived by sons, Lonnie Cheatham of Lindale, Roy Cheatham of Brownsboro, Frank Cheatham and wife Donna of Brownsboro and Carl Cheatham of Beaumont; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Tom Dargewich of Tyler, 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Frank Cheatham, Brandon Cheatham, Justin Cheatham, Butch Cheatham, Tom Dargewich and Garry Fincher.
Family will receive friends 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
