Thomas F. Farmer was born July 14, 1943 to Geneva E. Kyser and Thomas J. Farmer of Louisville, Kentucky. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1961-1965. After returning from the USMC, Tom returned to Louisville and worked at the Ford Truck Plant as a Materials Management Supervisor for 33 years. He was voted most friendly in high school and most would agree that exemplified his entire life. His love of conversation meant that he never met a stranger.

Tom passed away February 24, 2018 in Tyler Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Emma L. Farmer and his beloved dog Skoshi. Tom is survived by his son Brent Farmer and daughter-in-law Lori Elliott Farmer.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Monday, March 5th at Vanderbilt Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Hospice of East Texas at 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75701 or to the .
