Graveside services for Steven (Steve) Thomas White of Tyler, Texas will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery in Cushing, Oklahoma, on October 3 at 3 P.M. with Pastor Michael Rowan officiating. Services are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral home in Tyler. Mr. White passed away on September 29, 2017, in Tyler, Texas. He was 71 years old.

Born on August 11, 1946, in Coronado, California, to Samuel Thomas White and Edalee Rosebrough, Steve grew up in Bloomington, IN, Cushing OK, and Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated in 1965 from Casady School in Oklahoma City and in 1970 from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. degree in Interior Design. Following his graduation, Steve moved to San Antonio, Texas, to begin his career. He married Karen Crawford in 1971. The family relocated to Tyler in 1976 where Steve worked in interior design and sales until his retirement in 2011. He was a member of Fairwood United Methodist Church in Tyler. Steve will be remembered by all who knew him as a quiet and gentle man who loved his family, friends, football, and his two "Molly dogs."

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his loving family including his son and daughter-in-law, Shaye and Joni White of Tyler, TX; his daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Michael Rowan of The Colony, TX; his daughter, Sloan White, of Benbrook, TX; granddaughters, Karly and Brooklyn White of Tyler, TX; a sister, Susan White Horn of Oklahoma City, OK, and several nieces and nephews.
