Sara Bailey Wall went to be with our Lord on Monday, August 28, 2017, at the age of 103. Sara Bailey Wall Stovall Trice was born to John L. Bailey, Sr. and Nancy "Nannie" Erwin Bailey in Tyler, Texas, on May 19, 1914. She graduated from Tyler High and attended Tyler Junior College.

Sara lead a full and active life, most of it in Tyler where she was born and raised, before moving to Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, in 2008. A housewife and mother for most of her life she was very active in her Church, Calvary Baptist in Tyler. She taught Sunday School for over sixty years. She also was a loving caregiver to friends and family that needed assistance.

Sara was President of the City Park Garden Club in Tyler and Vice President of Tyler Council of Garden Clubs. She participated in many flower shows in Tyler and East Texas. She achieved the rank of a Master Judge and was an active judge of flower shows across Texas for many years. Later in life she took up the hobby of painting ceramic Santa Clauses, which she shared with many friends and family over the years.

Sara is preceded in death by her parents and only brother, John L. Bailey, Jr., and his wife, Nellie Clyde. She is also preceded in death by all three of her husbands: the love of her life for 46 years, Thomas E. Wall (1982), followed by William Stovall (1996), and Richard "Dick" Trice (2007). Also preceding her are her two stepsons, Tom Stovall and Jeffery Stovall.

Sara is survived by her only son, John T. Wall and wife, Susan of Fair Oaks Ranch; four stepchildren, Jim Stovall (Ella Rae) of Clearlake City, George Stovall (Jeanne) of Charlottesville, Virginia, Judy Beavers (Harry) of Nashville, Tennessee, and Carol Pyfer of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; three grandsons, John Thomas "J.T." Wall, Jr. (Kylee) of Richardson, Robert Wall (Angela) of Houston, and Patrick Lowry (Ashley) of Austin; and four great grandchildren, Avery, Greyson, Lylah, and Devin. She is also survived by many other family and friends whose lives she has touched.

The Wall family would like to offer our sincere thanks to Sara's caregiver, Abby Herrada, and the staff at the Cibolo House at Menger Springs in Boerne for their loving care of Sara.

A Memorial Service will also be held in Tyler, Texas, on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Tyler.
