Richard "Dick" Dougherty


Graveside services for Richard "Dick" Dougherty, 86, of Holly Lake Ranch will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013, in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler with Bro. Pete Dugger officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler. Arrangements are under direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Dougherty passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Dougherty was born Feb. 17, 1927, in Nocona to Charles E. and Eva Combs Dougherty. He was a retired land surveyor, and a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Holly Lake Ranch Men's Golf Association and a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge A.F.&A.M., Tyler No. 1233.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia Dougherty, of Holly Lake Ranch; niece and spouse, Gail and Jack McDowell, of Longview; great-nephews, John McDowell, of Plano, Brent McDowell, of Longview, Charles Dougherty, of Austin, and Patrick Dougherty, of Houston.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins.
