Memorial services for retired Lt. Col. Raymond Yockey, 78, Tyler, are scheduled for 4 p.m. Friday at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral chapel with Rev. Kathleen Lutes officiating.

Mr. Yockey passed away on June 4, 2006, in Tyler. He was born on March 2, 1928 in Barnesville, Ohio, to the late Charles Raymond and Mildred McFarland Yockey.
Mr. Yockey served in the United States Air Force as Lieutenant Colonel.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Betty Yockey of Tyler; son, Charles Raymond Yockey of Tyler; daughters, Katherine Yockey and Melynda Smith of Tyler; daughter-in-law, Lynda Yockey of Tyler; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Peter and Dorothy Liljegren of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Charles and Alice Isenberg of Minneapolis, Minn., and Dennis and Martha Zimmerman of Minnesota; four grandchildren, Raymond Yockey, William Yockey, Brenham Yockey and Ashton Smith; one great-granddaughter, Kaycie Yockey; two stepgrandsons, Ronnie Lusk and Larry Doss of Tyler; and stepgranddaughter Stormy Roessler of Little Rock, Ark.
Honorary pallbearers are grandsons.
