Ramona Lynn Emmons, our cherished wife, mother, amazing MeMe, and friend went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2017 after a brief illness. Lynn was born December 27, 1940 in Dallas, TX. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, Tyler in 1959, which was the first graduating class. Lynn is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, many aunts and uncles, with whom she loved dearly. After raising their family in Tyler, she and Don moved to Lake Palestine where they enjoyed all the lake had to offer for more than thirty years. While living there Lynn adored fishing, gardening, nature, and feeding the many birds that visited her birdfeeders. It was there where she shared her love of fishing and nature with her grandchildren. Lynn had a special touch for making an ordinary recipe grand. Her love and fondness of cooking was shared with her entire family. Lynn is survived by her husband, Don Emmons, Tyler, whom she was married for 58 years; one daughter, Beverly Emmons Loughmiller, Tyler; one son, Steven Emmons and his wife Donna, Tyler. She is survived by her grandchildren, Justin Robertson and his wife Allyson, Flint; Clayton Robertson, Flint; Jesse Robertson, Tyler; Chad Emmons, Charlotte, NC; Chelsye Emmons Newland and her husband Maxwell, Tyler; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Cora Robertson; and Carter, Chloe, and Kirstin Harris. She is also survived by her sister, Kathy Bailey Resseguie and her husband Mike, Tyler; David Beall and his wife Jill, Brownsboro; and several nieces and nephews; her longest childhood friend, Ralena Garrett, Tyler. Lynn so loved and treasured her favorite fur baby, Ellie Mae. Her memorial service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017, at Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler with Rev. Mark D. Dahn officiating. The family invites you for visitation at 10am with the memorial service beginning at 11am. In Lynn's honor, sentiments, flowers or donations to pets fur people can be received at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
