Patsy Sue Ryall Zeiss celebrated her homecoming in Heaven on June 8, 2017 after a recent decline in health. She was born September 12, 1928, the third child of Susie and Willie Ryall in Jasper, Texas. Patsy grew up there with her two sisters and brother whom she dearly loved. She later attended Sam Houston State University where she studied art. She married William E. Zeiss on July 18, 1948, and they made Tyler their home in 1957. She and Bill were proud parents of three children, Tanya, Bill and Kim.

Patsy accepted Jesus as her Savior as a child and lived out her faith in Him for the rest of her life; as a member of Glenwood Methodist Church, later Fairwood Methodist and most recently, Green Acres Baptist Church. She served in any area where the Lord called her with the giving of herself. She was a proud member of the UMW and also the DAR Chapter here in Tyler.

Family was her greatest joy as she poured love out unconditionally on all of us. Her heart was an open door for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and relatives. Though she is gone from us now, the memories will forever live on in each of our hearts which she so richly blessed.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Zeiss in 2008. She is survived by her three children, Tanya Darlene Atwood and husband Roy Jack Atwood of Tyler; William Adrian Zeiss and wife Leslie Ann Zeiss of Dallas; Kimberly Hitt and husband Terry Lee Hitt of Tyler; her sister May Ellen DeCell of Houston; brother, W.A. Ryall of Florida; and sister Lessley Ann Triggs of Tyler; her four grandchildren, Britton Derrick Atwood of Tyler, Ashley Bryn Paulsen of The Woodlands, Taylor Barrett Knight of Tyler and Tommy Parker Cuvelier of Tyler; her six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law and cousins.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home. Services will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a private graveside service in Jasper, Texas in our family cemetery.
