Patricia "Patsy" Lipscomb Garvin, 80, passed on July 3, 2017 in Tyler. She was born on October 5, 1936 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian Ruth and Harry Yancy (Shanks) Lipscomb; three sisters, Mildred Lipscomb, Dorothy "Dede" Pegues, Wanda Pinkley; and one son, Pat Ruark. She is survived by one brother and sister, Mike Lipscomb and Sandra Kennedy; two sons, Mike Ruark and David Key; seven grandchildren, Joel Ruark and his wife Kelly, Greta Ruark, Jason Ruark, Alex Ruark and wife Chelsea, Susan (Ruark) Corley and husband Brandon, Holly (Key) Ament and husband Tim and Cody Key; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a devout Catholic member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler. She graduated from Tyler High in 1954, married at 17 years old and began a raising a family of three boys, for whom she sacrificed dearly. Her greatest joys were her three boys and their families with all the grandchildren getting together every holiday at her house. She loved to cook, work in her yard, and travel with her brother and sisters. She worked in retail for several years at Dillard's department store after her boys grew up. Her laughter was contagious, and her love was overwhelming. And her cooking was unbelievable. She loved life, God and family, and will be missed so much.
