Mrs. Jones passed away July 31, 2017, at The Hospice of East Texas. She was born March 19, 1937, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Larry and Pauline Herod.

Upon graduating Pryor High School in 1955, Mrs. Jones entered St. John's Hospital School of Nursing in Tulsa. Her career began at a stock brokerage firm in Tulsa where she worked for many years. She and husband Al moved from Tulsa to Tyler in 1979 to work together, along with a group of dear friends, at their new industrial pump company in Lindale.

Nancy Mae Jones was preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend, Alfred Wayne Jones, having together enjoyed great adventures as they cruised with friends to ports of call around the world.

She is survived by her loving family including sister, Barbara J. Parmley; sister, Connie R. Saxton; daughter, Elizabeth L. Jones and brother-in-law, Gary L. Jones.

Visitation is scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 5, 2017, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
