Mary Louise Becker, nee Guenther, 90, of Pittsburg, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Aug. 3, 2013, after losing a long battle with Alzheimer's, at the home of her daughter, Gerrye Williams. She was born Oct. 16, 1922, in San Juan, and had lived most of her life in her beloved Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene W. Becker; her parents, Lester Ernest Guenther and Nellie Evangeline Guenther, nee Shulze; her daughter, Ethel Marie McKeel (Russ), of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a granddaughter, Karen Annette Smith, nee Sturdevant (Mike), of Lancaster, Ohio.
She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Tyler.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Gerrye Jeanette Williams; four grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tyler with Pastor Art Hill officiating. Arrangements are with Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.
