Services for Mary Jo McKay, 73, of Bullard, will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Payne officiating.

Burial will be private.

Mrs. McKay passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017, at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Heart Hospital.

She was born April 27, 1943, in Wichita Falls to Joseph Jr. and Mary Cobb Piazza.

Mary Jo was a teacher's aide at Cumberland Academy. She worked many years for Woodmen of the World in Tyler. She graduated from Bossier High School in Bossier City, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her loving family including her husband of 39 years, Rex McKay; her children, Pam Green-Kuharik (John) of Easton, Pennsylvania, Mike Green (Diane) of Shreveport, Louisiana, Terri Scott (Mike Etheridge) of Cumming, Georgia, David Green (Deanna) of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Jason McKay (Shirlee) of Tyler; stepchildren, Dale Dunn (Alex) of Tucson, Arizona, Tommy McKay of Raleigh, North Carolina, Christine Baker (Cliff) Anamosa, Iowa, and Kim Olsen (Troy) of Tucson, Arizona; three brothers; three sisters; 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and over 600 students at Cumberland Academy.

Visitation is scheduled from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
