Peabody-Mrs. Marguerite W. (Wessels) Pfeiffer, 84, of Peabody, formerly of Tyler, TX, died, Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Lahey Medical Center, Burlington .

Born in Tyler, Texas she was the daughter of the late George and Anita (Ledbetter) Wessels. She was raised and educated in Tyler and was a graduate of Tyler High School. Marguerite continued her education at Gulf Park College in Gulfport Mississippi; she received her Bachelors in Fine Arts from University of Texas at Austin and her Master's degree in Public Administration from Suffolk University.

Mrs. Pfeiffer had been employed as Head Administrative Assistant at Brookline District Court for 21 years, where she was well respected for her expertise and dedication.

A longtime Patron of the Arts, Marguerite founded the Brooksby Village Classical Concert Committee in 2001 and was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma at University of Texas for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Surviving Marguerite is her daughter, Carol Messmore and her husband Peter and her grandson Peter Messmore all of Florida. She was also the mother of the late Katherine Pfeiffer and Clifford Pfeiffer.

Arrangements: Her services will be held at a later date in Florida. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson O'Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte 62) Danvers.
