A celebration of life service for Lee T. Johnson, III, 76 of Tyler will be held Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. at Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home in Tyler. Mr. Johnson passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017.

Lee T. Johnson, III, was born to the late Lee and Bea Johnson in Dallas on July 18, 1940. He grew up in Dallas and graduated from St. Marks School of Texas and University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for the cities of Richardson, Tyler and Palestine respectively. He also owned and operated Johnson Engineering in San Antonio.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lynn Louise Ashman Johnson, Tyler; sons: Bruce W. Sidow, Tyler, Steve C. Sidow, Whitehouse; daughters: Trudi Ann Barnett, Ft. Worth, Amy Dell Johnson, Dallas, Laura C. Wilkerson, Henderson; sister Molly B. Long, Fredericksburg; grandchildren: Maggie Barnett, Lilly Barnett both of Ft. Worth, Riley Wilkerson, Henderson, Shayn Sidow, Tyler, Chris And Casey Jenkins, Forney, Rustin Wilkerson and Mindyn and Charlie Brown of Tyler, Krystal Neeley, Kilgore; niece, Michelle Long Kinize and nephew, Michael Long both of Dallas.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Burt and Gwen Ashman and daughter-in-law Shelli Sidow.
