Funeral service for Mrs. Jewel Faye Booker Ferguson, 84, Tyler is scheduled for 2:30 pm Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, F M 2015, Winona, TX with Minister Kari Hackett as eulogist.

Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery under the direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler. Mrs. Ferguson was born June 14, 1932 in Winona and had resided in Winona, Tyler, Los Angeles, CA, and was a resident of Smith County for over 60 years. She died February 14, 2017 at Park Place Nursing Home.

She attended Winona Industrial School and Prairie View A&M University. She was a nutritionist and a factory worker.

Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her husbands R. C. Hackett and Robert Ferguson, parents, Grady Booker and Flora Hammons Booker, sister; Helen Price, brother; James Grady and son Ronald Hackett.

Survivors include two sons; Kari & Gary Hackett, one daughter; Beverly Morgan, and one sister; Ivory Dell Price, 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren

Family will receive friends from 4-5 pm and public viewing will be from 11am - 7 pm Friday, February 17, 2017 at Community Funeral Home of Tyler Chapel.
