Graveside services for James Thomas Anderson, 88, of Emerald Bay, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Restland Cemetery in Dallas. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2008, at Lloyd James Funeral chapel in Tyler with Dr. Ron Wells officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Mr. Anderson passed away on Monday, June 16, 2008, in Tyler.

He was born on March 18, 1920, in Rose Hill to the late Norris Albert and Pearl Loving Anderson. He served in the U.S. Army as Captain in the 515th Parachute Infantry during World War II. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. After retiring from Colgate Palmolive, he founded Promoters Supply Inc. in Tyler. After he retired from PSI he moved to Emerald Bay where he lived until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Anderson of Emerald Bay; son, Jim Anderson and wife Marsha of Tyler; daughter, Jean Simonsen and husband Michael of Tyler; stepson, Clint Cash of Bullard; grandchildren, William Thomas Russell and wife Laura, C.J. Anderson and wife Amy, Jeremy Paul Anderson; stepgranddaughter, Caitlyn Cash; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday before the service at the funeral home.
