James Gigliotti, 68, of Tyler, died at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler on May 18, 2010. He was born in Pennsylvania to the late Andrew and Mary Ann Gigliotti.
He earned a BBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Jim lived and worked in Pennsylvania, New York, Illinois and in Texas; Sherman, the Dallas Metroplex, Fort Worth and Tyler, where he was Site Controller at Hood Packaging Cor. at the time of his death.
Jim was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Flint, the East Texas Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Knights of Columbus Council 14636, IMA, AVA and the Pitt Alumni Association. He enjoyed history and was a former civil war re-enactor with the 1st Regiment United States Infantry.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister who died at birth; in-laws, Joseph and Bessie Gernat; brother-in-law, Glenn Young; and sister-in-law, Julie Young.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Patricia (Pat); daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Anne and Dennis Jerz of Greensburg, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Meredith Gigliotti of Cherry Hill, N.J.; son, Joseph Gigliotti of Alexandria, Va.; grandchildren, Peter Jerz, Carolyn Jerz and Anderson Gigliotti. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins and a foster daughter of his late in-laws, Rose Korach.
Mass will be at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 18221 FM 2493, Flint, 75762, on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 2 p.m.
