Memorial service for Mrs. Hattie B. Betts, 79, Tyler is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Whitehouse COGIC with Elder Reginald Caldwell as eulogist under the direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler.

Mrs. Betts was born June 24, 1937 in Tyler and was a lifetime resident of Tyler.

She attended Dixie High School and Butler College. She was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church North. She worked as the cook and custodian for the main campus of Green Acres Baptist Church.

Mrs. Betts was preceded in death by her parents Will and Ophelia Brown, spouse; Connie B. Betts,Sr., son; Kenneth Betts, 3 brothers; Martin Brown, W. B. Brown and step-brother Lowell Brown.

Survivors include 2 sons; Connie Bob Betts, Jr., Tyler and Danny Betts (Linda), Dallas, 4 daughters; Therese Betts, Debby Betts-Jenkins (Marvin), Annette Betts-Green all of Tyler and Chenitha Betts, Tyler/Dallas, 2 god-daughters; LaTresa Hodge, Tyler and Vetria Cox, Dallas, 3 sisters; Sarah Brown, Dorothy Brown, and Snowie Brown all of Dallas, best friend; Flora Jean Williams, Tyler, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great-great grandchild.
