A memorial service for Gloria Butts, age 76 of Hideaway is scheduled for 10:30 AM Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindale with Rev. Matthew Stehling officiating. Private interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale. Gloria died Friday, August 31, 2018 in Tyler. She was born in Bloomfield, New Jersey on October 18, 1941 to the late Steve and Ida (Symanski) Kreigowski. Gloria was a graduate of Caldwell College in New Jersey and was a licensed teacher. Mrs. Butts was formerly of Garland before moving to Hideaway in 1976. She was a member of the Hideaway Lake Kiwanis Club and 42 Club. Gloria worked as the secretary for Robert E. Lee in Tyler. She also owned and operated Pinecrest Day Care Centers in Tyler, Lindale, and Winnsboro. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Butts on February 3, 2011 and sister, Marilyn Larsen. She is survived by daughter, Dr. Kimberley Ida Redmond-Carr and husband, Brian now living in North Carolina; 2 sons, Bryan Butts of Hideaway; and Bradley Roy Butts of Hideaway; grandchildren, Margaret Redmond McGowan and husband, Max of Tampa, Florida; Patrick Redmond of Denton; Jacob Butts of Hideaway; and great grandchild, Wyatt Patrick McGowan of Tampa, Florida.
