Gertie Passed away at her home in Brownsboro. Gertie was a Christian and graduate of Brownsboro High School. She married Dee Fowler, and lived most of her life in Tyler.

Survived by her son, David Fowler and wife, Debbie of Chapel Hill; two daughters, Diane Kinard and husband, Jacky of Brownsboro and Sandra Tammen of Chandler.

She was a very special Nana and Anna to five grandchildren; Michael Moore, David Kinard, Lindsey Buis, Jennifer Fowler and Jessica Fowler, and eleven great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by one brother, Pete Chavez and wife, Karen; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Williams and Kay Chavez; and brother-in-law, Travis Fowler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dee Fowler; her sister, Mary Fowler; and three brothers, William, Lee and Mack Chavez; and her parents, Marciano and Josie Chavez.

Pallbearers will be her son, David Fowler, son-in-law, Jacky Kinard, grandsons, Michael Moore and David Kinard and grandson-in-law, Josh Buis and great-grandson, Miles Moore.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018 in the Chapel of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Bro. Bryan Adair officiating. Burial will be at Whitehouse Cemetery.
