Graveside services for Frieda Elnora Adair, 102, of Tyler, will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Fort Parker Memorial Cemetery in Groesbeck with Rev. Gerry Giles officiating under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mrs. Adair passed away Monday, November 27, 2017, at Tyler.

She was born June 21, 1915 in Austin, TX to Oscar and Helen Sussdorf. She had three sisters, Esther, Rose and Elizabeth and one brother Walter. In 1947 Frieda married Favian M. Adair who served in the Navy during World War II. During the war Frieda worked in Aberdeen, Maryland for Ordinance and Research where they tested ammunition used in the war. After the war Favian went to work for Gulf Oil Company and then became a consulting Geologist. Frieda was a volunteer at ETMC for several years. They were members of Marvin United Methodist Church and Frieda was a member of the Century Class.

Favian Adair passed away on January 31, 1979. Frieda is survived by two sons, Favian M. Adair, Jr. and wife Joann and Thomas M. Adair and wife, Katherine. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Robert Adair and wife Roberta, Carey Adair, Mark Adair and wife Amanda. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren Natalie, Caroline, Joseph and Benjamin Adair.

Visitation is scheduled from 5:30 - 7:30 PM on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
