Forest Delmo Head


A graveside service for Forest Delmo Head, 93, of Tyler will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, in Rose Hill Cemetery under direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors.
Forest was born May 1, 1920, in Greenville to the late Chester Leon and Effie Inez Hughes Head and passed away Sept. 20, 2013, in Tyler. He served his country while in the United States Army during World War II. Forest owned and operated Heads Air Conditioning & Refrigeration in Tyler. He was a Baptist and lived in Tyler for more than 50 years. Forest was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Head; a brother, Havert Head; and a grandson, Barry Head.
He is survived by his second wife, Sara Head, of Henderson; sons, Larry Head and wife Amy, of Austin, Dennis Head, of Tyler, Keith Head and wife Debbie, of Tyler, and David Head and wife Jan, of Holly Lake; grandchildren, Mitzi, Ashlee, Dustin, Brian, Hollie, Terry, Marisa and Chris; numerous great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at the funeral home.
